Major Injury Crash on State Route Highway 88 in Galt
GALT, Calif. (July 16, 2021) — A Galt car accident on Highway 88 happened early Friday morning at the Liberty Road intersection.
A driver reportedly ran through a stop sign and crashed into a white Dodge Ram pickup truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Galt car accident happened about 5:15 a.m. on July 16th at East Liberty Road, police said.
Paramedics responded and determined that at least one person suffered major injuries. A helicopter flew the injured to a hospital. The CHP report did not mention the gender, age or names of the injured.
Police are investigating the cause and liability for the collision. Meanwhile, the highway reopened to traffic just after 6 a.m.
