1 Injured in Garden Acres Hit-and-Run Crash at Fremont Street and Gertrude Avenue
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (October 11, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Fremont Street and Gertrude Avenue in Garden Acres.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the accident shortly after 3:30 p.m.
CHP said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Garden Acres. They crashed at the intersection of East Fremont Street and North Gertrude Avenue.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the city of Stockton. They found one person hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to help and fled the area. The cause of the Garden Acres hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the intersection of Fremont Street, known as Highway 26, and Gertrude Avenue to shut down following the wreck.
