At Least 1 Killed in Collision Near Magnolia Street Sunday
Garden Grove, CA (March 27, 2022) – A deadly traffic accident occurred Sunday morning on State Route 22, also known as Garden Grove Freeway.
Auto vs. Motorcycle Accident on State Route 22 in Garden Grove
According to the California Highway Patrol group, a man riding a motorcycle collided with one or more vehicles in the westbound side of the freeway. Officials said the crash took place in the area near Magnolia Street.
Earlier reports indicated the force from the impact ejected the rider off their motorbike. Shortly after 5:47 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. First responders found the motorcyclist lying in the fast lane of SR-22.
Medical personnel rendered aid to the victim. Despite life-saving attempts, the rider sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed way. The Orange County Sheriff Coroner identified Nicholas Perry, 27, of Las Vegas, as the rider who died in the crash.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned they found at the accident scene a gray Mitsubishi car and a blue Toyota Corolla. Both drivers stayed after the incident and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the unfortunate event on State Route 22 in Garden Grove.
