Bicyclist Hurt in Hit-and-run Crash on Orangewood Ave at Euclid Street
GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (March 3, 2020) — A bicyclist was critically injured Monday night in a hit-and-run crash in Garden Grove.
The bicycle rider suffered major head trauma and was hospitalized after the 11 p.m. collision at Orangewood Avenue and Euclid Street.
Victor Medina, 26, of Garden Grove, was arrested just a short distance away and charged with felony hit-and-run and DUI. The driver struck the bicyclist with his Chevrolet Suburban SUV and police noted it had major front-end damage.
The Garden Grove Police Department stated that the rider had the right-of-way when they were hit by the suspect.
Police investigating the crash are urging witnesses to call Traffic Investigator Paul Ashby at 714-741-5823.
