Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian at Vermont at 149th Saturday
Gardena, CA (March 12, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Saturday evening in the area of Vermont Avenue at 149th Street.
According to an article published online by CBS News, a Toyota Prius struck an individual at the busy intersection in Garden. Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was walking inside of a crosswalk when the collision happened.
The horrible crash took place shortly after 6:15 p.m.
Responding paramedics found the pedestrian lying on the ground and with injuries. Due to the condition of the victim, medical personnel rushed them to the hospital for further treatment. Sadly, the patient succumbed to their injuries and passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the Toyota.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident at Vermont Avenue at 149th Street.
