Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian Near Vermont Avenue Wednesday
Gardena, CA (January 5, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 405, also known as San Diego Freeway.
The CBS News reported a big rig struck an individual in the southbound side of I-405 near Vermont Avenue. Officials said multiple other vehicle traveling behind the truck failed to avoid and hit the body lying on the ground.

Shortly after 4:40 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found the pedestrian lifeless in the middle of the roadway. Paramedics attempted to save the male victim, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate liability in the deadly pedestrian accident on 405 Freeway in Gardena.
