In a case such as this one, a person who is hurt or a family who loses a loved one may recover their financial losses if the another motorist is responsible. There are often medical expenses, lost wages, property damage and in the case of a death, funeral expenses. It’s important to note, however, that it’s quite common for insurance companies to try and avoid paying out a claim. They may also make an offer to settle for far less than the full amount owed.
