Pedestrian Killed in Gardena Crash Near Cerise and Rosecrans Avenues

GARDENA, CA (April 28, 2023) – A crash killed a pedestrian near Cerise and Rosecrans avenues in Gardena.

According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the collision on April 27 at around 8:45 p.m.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Gardena. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Cerise and Rosecrans avenues.

Victim Hit by Vehicle

Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived and found the victim down on the ground. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the area of Cerise and Rosecrans avenues to shut down for a time after the accident.

The cause of the fatal Gardena pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
