Tehachapi Man, 39, Died in 2-Vehicle Collision

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2023) — Garret William Houston, 39, of Tehachapi, died Friday night in a two-vehicle crash on Randsburg Cutoff Road in Mojave.

The deadly crash occurred around 10:12 p.m. on Sept. 22nd, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

The Tehachapi man was driving on Randsburg Cutoff Road when he collided with another motorist due to unknown circumstances in Mojave, Bakersfield Now reports.

It happened roughly a mile west of Highway 14 and Garret Houston died following the car accident. Meanwhile, the report did not mention if anyone else was injured.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the collision.
