Garry Poindexter, 41, Killed in Bakersfield Crash on River Boulevard
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 20, 2022) – Garry Poindexter was killed after a motorcycle crash on River Boulevard in Bakersfield.
The coroner’s office identified the 41-year-old Bakersfield man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place last week on Friday.
The incident happened when Garry Donn Poindexter was riding a motorcycle on River Boulevard in Bakersfield. For an unknown reason, he collided with a red sedan.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The rider and the car crashed near Goodman Street and Bernard Street. The Bakersfield Now and Kern Golden Empire wrote that the accident occurred on June 17 shortly after 4 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said Garry Poindexter ended up thrown off his bike as a result of the crash. He sustained serious injuries due to the impact of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the motorcyclist to the Kern Medical, where he died. Family members set up a GoFundMe page to help cover his funeral expenses.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car sustained injuries or if they stopped following the wreck. The cause of the Bakersfield crash is still under investigation.
