
Gayla Price, 66, Killed in Bakersfield Crash on Campus Park Drive
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 2, 2023) – Gayla Price was killed after a car crash on Campus Park Drive in Bakersfield.
The coroner’s office identified the 66-year-old Bakersfield woman as the victim in the fatal wreck which took place last month.
The incident happened when Gayla Sue Price was driving west on Campus Park Drive in Bakersfield. At the same time, another vehicle was going east.
Speed Factor in Wreck
For an unknown reason, the eastbound car crossed the center line. Police said that vehicle then slammed head-on into the victim’s car in the 10700 block of Campus Park Drive.
The Bakersfield Californian and Kern Golden Empire wrote that the accident occurred on April 18 at around 5:44 p.m. Gayla Price died at the scene of the crash.
The male driver of the other vehicle and his male passenger sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed both patients to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, police believed that speed played a role in the accident. The cause of the Bakersfield crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 661-327-7111.
