1 Killed, 2 Seriously Injured in Temecula Fiery Head-On Crash on Highway 79
TEMECULA, Calif. (January 3, 2020) – Geordon Pollette, 23, of Aguanga, died early Friday morning in a traffic collision on Highway 79 in Temecula.
Two others were seriously injured in the 2-vehicle crash that was reported at 12:25 a.m. near Anza Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the drivers of a white Mitsubishi Lancer and a red Toyota crashed head-on in the fiery crash on Highway 79.
The Mitsubishi Lancer became engulfed in flames while its occupants were still inside the burning car.
Pollette was confirmed dead about 12:42 a.m. by arriving paramedics with Cal Fire – Riverside County Fire Department.
Two others were transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Meanwhile, officers blocked both directions of the roadway to investigate the cause of the crash.
