Costa Mesa Man Killed While Walking in Santa Ana
SANTA ANA, Calif. (Jan. 6, 2025) – George Estrada Tellez, 63, of Costa Mesa, died in a Santa Ana pedestrian accident on Friday night when two drivers struck him on First Street.
The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. on Jan. 3rd near First and Center streets, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
The man was struck by two vehicles while walking in the eastbound lanes of First Street near Center Street, according to police.
Paramedics responded and rushed him to a hospital where he later died.
Meanwhile, both drivers who struck the victim stopped and cooperated with police and the investigation. There were no arrests made and drugs and or alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
The Santa Ana Police Department’s Collision Investigation Unit is heading the investigation.
