George Lammon 52, Killed in Palm Springs Pedestrian Crash on Sunrise Way

PALM SPRINGS, CA (May 22, 2022) – George Lammon was killed after a pedestrian crash on Sunrise Way in Palm Springs.

The coroner’s office identified the 52-year-old Palm Springs man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Sunday.

The incident happened when a vehicle struck George Edward Lammon for an unknown reason in a residential area of Palm Springs.

Deputies said the male driver was going south on North Sunrise Way, south of Tamarisk Road, when he saw the victim in the roadway. He failed to avoid the man and then hit him.

George Lammon sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident. Paramedics arrived and soon pronounced him dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the report added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim.  Officers forced a stretch of Sunrise Way to shut down for a time following the collision.

The Desert Sun and My News LA wrote that the incident occurred at about at 4:12 a.m. in the 800 block of the road. The cause of the Palm Springs pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
