Deadly Car Accident on Highway 99 Near Live Oak Boulevard
Sutter County, CA (July 23, 2022) – George Sewell, and Edward Garcia both suffered injuries following a head-on collision that occurred on Highway 99 Tuesday evening.
The Kuba Radio, and Action News Now reported a 18-year-old was behind the wheel of a passenger vehicle traveling on the highway in Sutter County. When the car approached the area near Live Oak Boulevard, the teenager allowed the vehicle to veer into the opposite lane.
Our sources confirmed the car crashed head-on into a U-Haul driven by a 53-year-old man from Lynden, Washington.
Shortly after 10 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the teen driver of the car unconscious. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the 18-year-old from Olivehurst sadly passed away.
2 Passengers Badly Hurt in Sutter County Car Accident
Authorities added the passengers–53-year-old George Sewell; and 20-year-old Edward Garcia, both sustained major trauma as a result of the wreck. Emergency crews transported the patients to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal crash that happened in Sutter County.
