George Trapani, 87, ID’d as Victim Killed in Warner Ave Crash
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 7, 2018) — George Trapani , 87, of Fountain Valley, has been identified as the man killed last week in a rollover crash at Warner Avenue and Nichols Lane, the Orange County coroner’s office said Tuesday.
The collision was reported about 3:41 p.m. Friday, August 31st. Mr. Trapani was a passenger in a 2000 Toyota Tacoma that overturned when it collided with a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria. The 24-year-old driver of the Ford had been traveling eastbound on Warner Avenue when it allegedly struck the Toyota and caused it to overturn.
Sadly, Trapani died of his injuries at the scene. Also injured in the collision was the 85-year-old woman who was driving the pickup truck. She was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange.
The driver of the Crown Victoria stopped and cooperated with the police investigators. No arrests were made.
