Motorcyclist Killed in Georgetown Crash on Wentworth Springs Road Sunday
EL DORADO COUNTY (September 1, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed after a traffic collision along Wentworth Springs Road Sunday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol said the fatal accident was reported around 12:43 p.m. at the location of 15700 Wentworth Springs Road in Georgetown.
According to the report log, a motorcycle and a Toyata RAV4 collided for an unknown reason on Wentworth Springs near Helix Flat Avenue.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that the rider was pronounced dead as a result of the crash.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP mentioned that the vehicle ended up on top of the bike after the two crashed.
The dispatch did not mention if the driver of the car involved was hurt following the wreck. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
