Fatal Traffic Collision at Cherry and Merrill Avenue Saturday
Fontana, CA (March 6, 2022) – Gerald Ralph Acuna, a 47-year-old man, died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Cherry and Merrill Avenue.
The Fontana Herald News reported Acuna was behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling in the streets of Fontana. When the car approached the intersection at Cherry and Merrill, it collided with another vehicle.

Officials said the horrible crash took place on March 5 at about 2:51 a.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found at least one person unconscious. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away at scene. Authorities pronounced Gerald Ralph Acuna dead around 3:06 a.m.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident at Cherry and Merrill Avenue in Fontana.
