1 Dies After Fiery Collision Near Pomerado Road Thursday
Escondido, CA (December 3, 2021) – Gerard Sprewell, a 40-year-old man, died following a car crash that occurred on Interstate 15 Thursday morning.
The ABC10 News reported a passenger vehicle slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer in the northbound side of the freeway. According to the article published online, the catastrophic incident took place south of Pomerado Road in Escondido.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Paramedics rendered aid to the driver of the passenger vehicle. Despite life-saving measures, the man sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Gerard Sprewell.
Officials said the accident caused the vehicle of Gerard Sprewell to burst in flames.
Further investigation on the deadly car accident on Interstate 15 in Escondido is ongoing.
