2-Vehicle Crash at Apple Valley Intersection
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (April 23, 2021) — Gerardo Mendoza, 26, of Barstow, died Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash in Apple Valley.
Additionally, the fatal collision happened about 9:26 p.m. on April 22nd, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department Communications Division.
It’s unknown what led up to two vehicles colliding at the intersection of Dale Evans Parkway and Stoddard Wells Road, in the town of Apple Valley, but police are piecing together evidence and witness statements.

Meanwhile, someone called 911 to report the collision and summon emergency medical personnel. Upon arrival, paramedics declared Gerardo Mendoza deceased at the crash scene. He was the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the collision.
Finally, the crash remains under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department Major Accident Investigation Team. Witnesses may contact authorities.
