German Juarez, 29, ID’d as Suspect in Seal Beach Boulevard Fatal DUI Crash
SEAL BEACH, CA (November 5, 2021) – Officers detained German Juarez after a fatal DUI crash in Seal Beach.
Police determined that the 29-year-old Los Angeles man was under the influence when the collision took place on Thursday.
The incident happened when German Juarez collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Seal Beach Boulevard and St. Andrews Drive.
Police said the two crashed near the Leisure World retirement community. The CBS Los Angeles and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred on November 4 at about 3:40 p.m.
1 Killed, 1 Injured in Car Collision
German Juarez, the driver of the other car and a passenger ended up hurt as a result of the crash. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and rushed them to the hospital.
The woman driving the victim vehicle died. German Juarez survived with minor injuries while the passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, police arrested German Juarez for DUI and manslaughter.
They booked him into the Orange County Jail following his medical release. The Seal Beach DUI crash is still under investigation.
