Motorcycle Rider Injured in Gilroy Crash on Westbound Highway 152
GILROY, CA (August 19, 2021) – A motorcycle rider was hospitalized after a crash on Highway 152 near a hiking area in Gilroy.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Thursday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 7:25 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason in Gilroy. The two crashed on westbound Highway 152, just west of the Spring Day Use Area.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Blackhawk Canyon Road. They found the bike and its rider down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this moment.
CHP forced the westbound lane of Highway 152, known as Hecker Pass Road, to shut down following the wreck. Meanwhile, the cause of the Gilroy motorcycle crash is still under investigation.
