Giovani Gomez Killed in Ceres Pedestrian Accident on Service Road

Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Esmar Road

Ceres, CA (October 31, 2022) – Giovani Gomez, a 22-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Service Road.

The Modesto Bee News reported Gomez was hit by a pickup traveling west on Service Road Friday evening. For reasons still unclear, the driver of the pickup was unable to avoid and struck the pedestrian on the two-lane roadway near Esmar Road.

Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Service Road in Ceres

Shortly after 7 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the person found lying on the ground. According to the article published online, medical personnel rushed the injured pedestrian to Doctors Medical Center for further treatment. Sadly, the patient later succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Giovani Gomez, of Ceres.

Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident that happened on Service Road in Ceres.
