SACRAMENTO, California (October 21, 2016) – A 10-year-old girl sustained injuries after being struck by a vehicle near Howe Elementary School Friday morning, according to an article by Sacramento CBS Local.
As per the report, the California Highway Patrol dispatch team mentioned the young girl was on her way to school when the collision took place.
The girl was riding her bicycle when an SUV crashed into her near a shopping center.
The accident resulted in the girl suffering in minor injuries. Medics responded to the site and decided to take the girl to the hospital for precautionary measures.
Due to coroners still working on notifying her next of kin, the name of the young victim was not released.
Investigation is underway to determine charges and liabilities.
