WESTHAVEN: Glen Roe Killed in DUI Crash on Highway 101; Victor Herrera Arrested
WESTHAVEN, California — 25-year-old Glen Anthony Roe Jr., from Orick, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 101 near 6th Avenue afternoon of March 23.
As per the article, Roe was a front-seat passenger in a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 26-year-old Victor Herrera. Officials said Herrera failed to negotiate a downhill curving lane and allowed the Chevrolet to leave the road. The Chevrolet came to rest in a creek area below the highway.
Firefighters and paramedics arrived shortly after 3:45 p.m. and found Roe trapped in the wreckage. The victim was extricated, and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, Herrera reportedly sustained major injuries and was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital. After being released from the hospital, Herrera was arrested for driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter
