Fatal Long Beach Scooter Accident
LONG BEACH, Calif. (June 19, 2023) – Glen Gosnell, 52, has been identified as the man who died in a Long Beach car accident while he was riding a scooter on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH).
An eastbound driver struck the man about 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13th as he was crossing northbound and outside a crosswalk on PCH, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The collision happened near Junipero Avenue.
The 21-year-old Long Beach man driving a 2018 Dodge Challenger stopped after the collision and cooperated with authorities.
Police do not suspect speed, drugs, or alcohol were were involved.
Witnesses are urged to call detectives at 562-570-7355. There is an ongoing investigation into the fatality by the Long Beach Police Department.
