Two Washington Women Killed in Solo Crash on I-5 Freeway
GLENN COUNTY, Calif. (August 9,2021) – Glenda Seth Pickering, 62, of Washington, is one of two women killed early Sunday in a solo-vehicle crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just outside of Willows, California.
Both people who died are residents of Washington state.
The crash happened about 6:05 a.m. on Sunday, August 8th, the California Highway Patrol said.
The Nissan Sentra reportedly went off the roadway just north of County Road 39 and crashed into a pole.
Arriving CHP officers located the vehicle overturned on its left side up against a tree.
Deadly Crash on Interstate 5 Freeway in Glenn County
Meanwhile, the two women were found unresponsive at the scene of the Glenn County car accident, according to Action News Now.
Also, Glenda Seth Pickering, 62, of Longview, Wash., and 56-year-old woman from Kelso, Wash. both died at the scene. Investigators seek to determine the cause of the crash.
