Pedestrian Severely Injured in Glendale Hit-and-Run at Chevy Chase and Glenmore
GLENDALE, CA (October 1, 2021) – A pedestrian was severely injured after a hit-and-run crash at Chevy Chase Drive and Glenmore Boulevard in Glendale.
According to an article published by My News LA, the accident took place early Friday. Officers reported the collision at bout 12:10 a.m.
The incident happened when the pedestrian was crossing East Chevy Chase Drive at Glenmore Boulevard in Glendale. At the same time, a vehicle was traveling on Chevy Chase.
Police said for an unknown reason, the driver hit the person at the intersection. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near the 2 Freeway.
Victim Hit by Car
Medical personnel found the victim left suffering from serious injuries as a result of the collision. They soon rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim.
The suspect fled westbound on Chevy Chase Drive and possibly turned onto East Glenoaks Boulevard. Officers described the car as a silver or gray 2019 to 2020 Kia Forte with severe damage to its front end.
Police forced the area of Chevy Chase and Glenmore to shut down following the collision. The Glendale hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
