Glendale, Calif. (Jan. 30, 2018) – Luis Tecun, 32, of Glendale was arrested after he crashed his car into several pedestrians Saturday at Brand Boulevard and Maple Street, according to the Glendale Police Department.
The crash took place about 10:30 p.m. Tecun was driving his black 2011 Chevrolet Camaro when the first hit-and-run collision with another motorist took place at Brand Boulevard and Harvard Street. The victim who was hit, followed Tecun’s vehicle and witnessed a second collision. This time, Tecun struck a parked vehicle at Brand and Maple. During the second crash, the vehicle jumped the curb and just missed hitting two adults, a 7-year-old boy and an 11-month-old child. Paramedics responded and treated them for minor injuries.
Tecun fled the scene again, but was later caught by police and arrested on DUI and hit-and-run charges.
Glendale Car Accident Lawyer
If a negligent driver caused a collision that left you and or a loved one injured, you may have grounds for a personal injury claim.
Serious injuries such as those sustained in a pedestrian accident may require months of medical care and physical therapy, but compounding their pain is the onslaught of bills ranging from medical costs to lost wages. It’s important to note, however, that it’s quite common for insurance companies to try and avoid paying out a claim even when they know their insured is at fault. They may also make an offer to settle for far less than the full amount owed. This is unacceptable.
