GLENDALE (February 10, 2017)- According to KTLA News, a woman was seriously injured after being run over by a bicyclist Thursday evening at the intersection of Brand Boulevard and Caruso Avenue.
The collision was reported at 6:00 p.m. as an unidentified 64-year-old woman who had been crossing the intersection with the signal to proceed when a bicyclist blew through the intersection against a red light and struck the woman.
The bicyclist who is only being identified as a man proceeded to immediately hop back onto his bike and flee the scene.
Meanwhile, the woman suffered major injuries as she hit her head on the ground. She was quickly rushed to a trauma center following the collision. Her condition has not yet been updated as she remains hospitalized as of Friday morning.
Witnesses were able to provide minimal information of the suspect as he was wearing a dark jacket.
