Woman, 66, Victim in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash Wednesday
MODESTO (August 24, 2017)- According to the Modesto Bee, a hit-and-run crash resulted in tragedy Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of L and 7th streets.
Authorities responded to the crash between two vehicles at 3:30 p.m. when a stolen black Chevy SUV ran a red light struck a red Ford Mustang.

A Latino or black man in his 20s and another man and woman in their 20s quickly exited the vehicle and fled the scene leaving the victim behind in the Mustang.
Authorities alerted paramedics that immediate medical attention was needed to be given to the victim, a woman. She was rushed to a nearby medical center where she tragically died of her injuries.
The victim has since been identified as Gloria Pearl Hoskins, 66, of Modesto.
Per the Modesto Bee, a business nearby was able to catch surveillance footage of one of the male suspects who had been running in the alley behind the establishment.
No arrests have been made at this time as Modesto police officers have initiated a full fledge investigation to locate and detain the assailants.
