Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Gold River Crash at Gold Rush and Tunnel Hill
GOLD RIVER, CA (May 8, 2022) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at Gold Rush Drive and Tunnel Hill Way in Gold River.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:22 am.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Gold River. The two crashed at the intersection of Gold Rush Drive and Tunnel Hill Way.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Gold River Sports Club. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Gold Rush and Tunnel Hill to shut down after the incident.
The cause of the Gold River crash is still under investigation.
