PLACER COUNTY, CA (July 14, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Moody Ridge Road in the Gold Run town.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:15 p.m.

According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Placer County’s Gold Run area. They crashed in the 2100 block of Moody Ridge Road.

2 Vehicles Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved did not stop to render help and fled the area. Officers forced a portion of Moody Ridge Road to shut down following the wreck.

The Gold Run hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
