Golden Valley Unified School District Bus Collision
MADERA, Calif. (Feb. 13, 2025) – A multi-vehicle school bus accident happened Thursday at Avenue 12 and Road 32 in Madera County.
Two students suffered minor injuries in the three-vehicle collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The traffic accident occurred around 7:20 a.m. on Feb. 13th at the Madera intersection, police said.
A school bus carrying 29 students from the Golden Valley Unified School District was traveling north on Road 32 and stopped for a stop sign at the intersection with Avenue 12.
The bus driver was waiting to make a right turn onto eastbound Avenue 12.
Meanwhile, a big rig truck crashed into an SUV, causing the smaller vehicle to hit the left side of the school bus.
Paramedics responded and transported two injured students ages 16 and 18 years old to Valley Children’s Hospital with complaints of pain.
It’s unknown if anyone from the SUV or truck were hurt in the crash.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the school bus crash on Road 32 in Madera.
