At Least 1 Injured in Rollover Crash on Highway 217 Near UCSB

September 24, 2018 – One person was injured in a traffic collision Monday evening on Highway 217, according to Noozhawk.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., an SUV and another vehicle collided for unknown reasons in the eastbound lanes of Highway 217, just east of University of California-Santa Barbara (UCSB).
The impact reportedly forced the SUV to flip and land onto its roof. As per the article, the driver of the SUV suffered moderate injuries and was rushed to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle was apparently unharmed in the wreck.
Following the crash, one eastbound lane of the highway and the eastbound off-ramp to Hollister Avenue were shutdown to give way to the investigation. Liability in the accident is still being determined.
