At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Collision on Madrid Road Friday
Goleta, CA (July 2, 2021) – A traffic accident involving a scooter rider occurred on Madrid Road, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
On July 2, Friday, a man riding an electric scooter crashed into a parked vehicle. It remained unclear why the driver of the scooter allowed the motorbike to veer off the roadway.
The incident took place at about 10:50 a.m.
Major Injury Scooter Accident in Goleta, July 2
Emergency crews responded to the 6593 block of Madrid Road in Goleta. When medical personnel arrived at the site, they found the scooter rider with injuries. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim, and later confirmed they suffered major injuries from the collision.
An ambulance reportedly transported the patient to the hospital for treatment and further investigation. However, the name of the injured party and their age remained undisclosed.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the scooter accident in Goleta.
