Truck Flipped, Multiple Injuries in Crash Near Santa Barbara
GOLETA, Calif. (June 12, 2024) — At least two people were injured in a multi-vehicle car accident Wednesday afternoon in Goleta on the U.S Highway 101, in Santa Barbara County.
The traffic accident occurred at around, 1:48 PM on Wednesday June 12th according to the California Highway Patrol.
A box truck flipped over and landed on its side in grass on the right side of the highway. It reportedly began to catch on fire, but a good Samaritan put it out.
Meanwhile, a grey Ford Fusion and another vehicle were involved and one overturned onto its side. Both of these vehicles became a traffic hazard for the U.S. 101 Highway. The driver of the box truck was able to exit the vehicle, but was also reported to have injuries. Two more passengers have injuries and require medical attention as well.
Paramedics responded and located those injured in this accident and transported them to the nearest hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the accident on Highway 101, in Goleta California.
