Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Goleta Crash at Calle Real and Turnpike Road
GOLETA, CA (November 6, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Calle Real and Turnpike Road in Goleta.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the incident shortly after 12:30 p.m.
CHP determined that a red Honda Civic struck an elderly female pedestrian in Goleta. The car hit her for an unknown reason at the intersection of Calle Real and North Turnpike Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 101. They found the victim down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and her condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the Honda stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. Officers forced the area of Calle Real and Turnpike Road to close following the collision.
The cause of the Goleta pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
