Major Injury Crash on Highway 101 in Goleta
GOLETA, Calif. (Jan. 31, 2024) — Two people were hospitalized with minor to major injuries after a semi-truck and a car accident on Highway 101 near Los Carneros Road in Goleta.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the southbound Highway 101 at around 1:24 a.m. on Jan. 31st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the car wound up in the center divide and the truck was on the right shoulder.
Paramedics from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded and rushed two people with major injuries to Cottage Hospital.
Meanwhile, the car was towed and debris and a diesel spill was cleared from the roadway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Goleta accident on Highway 101.
