1 Injured in Goshen Hit-and-Run Crash on Southbound Highway 99 Near Betty

GOSHEN, CA (August 14, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 99 near Betty Drive in Goshen.

The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident late Saturday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly after 10 p.m.

The incident began when a black SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed in the Goshen area of Tulare County. CHP said the speeding motorist then struck a white Chevrolet on southbound Highway 99.

Speeding Driver Hits Another Car, Flees Scene

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, just north of Betty Drive. They found a male victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel took him to the Kaweah Health Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the SUV did not stop to help and fled. Officers forced the Nos 2 and 3 lanes of southbound Highway 99 to shut down following the wreck.

The Goshen hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
