Multi-Vehicle Crash in Granada Hills on Ronald Reagan (118 Freeway)
GRANADA HILLS, Calif. (Nov. 16, 2021) — A Granada Hills crash on the westbound Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway Tuesday happened near Balboa Avenue near Porter Ranch.
The multi-vehicle collision happened at 7:43 a.m. on Nov. 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Several vehicles collided on the freeway including a motorcycle, a gray GMC pickup truck, a white Dodge, a black Mercedes and a light blue Nissan Pathfinder. The driver in the Nissan SUV reportedly struck the motorcyclist. However, the Nissan, with license plate 8TRL712, didn’t stop and its driver reportedly fled the scene. Other vehicles pulled over in the center divider and right shoulder of the freeway.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded due to minor injuries, but there are no further details.
Tow trucks removed the motorcycle and the pickup truck from the crash scene. The Dodge suffered minimal damage due to the crash.
Investigators seek to determine liability for the Granada Hills crash on the 118 Freeway.
