Multi-Vehicle Car Accident on I-5 Freeway

GRANADA HILLS, Calif. (May 26, 2023) — A multi-vehicle Granada Hills crash happened Friday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of Roxford Street.

The injury collision occurred on the northbound I-5 Freeway around 10:24 a.m. on May 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A driver in a black Jeep reportedly collided with a grey Toyota RAV 4 SUV, a blue Dodge Charger, a white Dodge Ram pickup truck, and a grey Honda Civic. The vehicles blocked the HOV and No. 1 lane of the freeway.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and located an elderly male with injuries who was in and out of consciousness after the crash.

Two tow trucks came to remove the damaged vehicles from the freeway, but there is no further information.

The CHP is heading up an investigation into the cause of the Granada Hills crash as well as liability.
