Truck Driver Hospitalized After Collision Near Pineridge and Jolette Saturday
Granada Hills, CA (February 26, 2022) – One person died, and another suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Balboa Boulevard Saturday afternoon.
Auto vs. Motorcycle Accident on Balboa Boulevard in Granada Hills, February 26
The KTLA5 News reported a man riding a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck near the intersection of Pineridge Drive and Jolette Avenue. Preliminary investigation revealed the motorcyclist ran a red light and drove into the path of an oncoming pickup truck.
Shortly after 3 p.m., emergency crews responded to the 12200 block of Balboa Boulevard. Medical personnel found the rider lying down on the roadway. Despite life-saving measures, the motorcyclist sadly succumbed to their injuries and died.
Authorities added the operator of the truck stayed at the scene. Paramedics transported the driver to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
At this time, several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. Further investigation is ongoing on the traffic accident on Balboa Boulevard in Granada Hills.
