GRANADA HILLS, Los Angeles (March 10, 2017) – A traffic collision involving a motorcycle took place on the 118 Freeway Friday evening, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP first logged the incident when a gray Saturn Vue collided with the motorcyclist at 6:22 p.m. The accident occurred on the eastbound 118 Freeway, just west of Balboa Avenue.
As per the report, Los Angeles Fire Department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the rider who may have sustained injuries in the wreck.
Meanwhile, the dispatch mentioned that the Saturn sustained moderate damage upon impact. Its motorist was seen driving recklessly prior to the crash.
CHP added that the driver allegedly threw an unidentified can out of the vehicle. Authorities are still determining if alcohol played a role in the collision.
