Granite Bay Crash at Sierra College and Douglas Boulevards

ROCKLIN, Calif. (Jan. 9, 2026) — A multi-vehicle crash happened Friday morning at Sierra College Boulevard and Douglas Boulevard, prompting a response from the California Highway Patrol, local police, and fire crews.
The crash was reported on Jan. 9th just after 6:05 a.m. between a white Ford Mustang and a gray Toyota sedan, the report said.
Fire crews responded due to reports of airbag deployment and a possible head injury. One individual was reported unable to exit their vehicle, and at least one patient was evaluated by emergency personnel at the scene.
The collision caused major front-end damage to both vehicles and resulted in lanes being blocked at the intersection for a period of time as first responders worked to assess injuries, clear the scene, and remove the damaged vehicles. Tow trucks were requested, and both vehicles were towed from the roadway.
Traffic was impacted in the area during the morning commute. No further details regarding the extent of injuries or the cause of the crash were immediately available. The incident remains under investigation.
