GRANITE BAY: Head-on Crash on Auburn Folsom Road, Eagle View Lane
GRANITE BAY, Calif. (Dec. 31, 2025) — A head-on collision in Granite Bay blocked traffic Wednesday morning at the intersection of Auburn Folsom Road and Eagle View Lane, authorities said.
The two-vehicle crash happened on Dec. 31st shortly before 8 a.m. and involved a gray Honda Accord and a black Acura, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log. The collision occurred within the intersection and was initially described as a head-on crash.
Fire crews were notified and responded to the scene, along with CHP officers, to assist with traffic control and investigate the collision. At least one southbound lane was blocked as a result of the crash, prompting officers to divert traffic into the northbound lane while emergency personnel worked at the scene.
Authorities also noted that the gray Honda had reportedly been driving recklessly prior to the collision, though it was not immediately clear whether that factor contributed directly to the crash. No information was released regarding the number or severity of injuries, and it was not immediately known whether anyone was transported to a hospital.
Tow trucks from All American Towing and Tracker Auto Recovery were requested to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Motorists were advised to use caution in the area and expect possible delays while crews worked to clear the scene.
