Grasiela Gomez Killed in 805 Freeway Crash in San Diego

Temecula Woman Killed in Collision on I-805 Shoulder
San Diego, CA (May 13, 2025) — Grasiela C. Gomez, 65, was killed after her vehicle, which was stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 805 Freeway, was struck by another car, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
The Temecula woman was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple blunt force injuries. The fatal crash occurred on the southbound side of I-805, just north of 43rd Street in San Diego, around 8:52 a.m. on May 3, 2025.
Officials said Gomez was stopped on the shoulder of the freeway when another vehicle veered and collided with her car. Emergency responders arrived shortly after and pronounced her dead at 9:10 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the accident. The medical examiner classified the manner of death as accidental and noted no contributing medical conditions.
Authorities have notified next of kin. Additional details about the circumstances of the crash or the other driver involved have not yet been released.
