Passenger Killed in Grass Valley ATV Crash
GRASS VALLEY (July 30, 2017) – On July 27, a female passenger was killed in an all-terrain vehicle accident near Barn Hollow and Cooper roads.
According to Sacbee, 35-year-old William Cobb was operating the ATV in the Grass Valley area at about 7:45 a.m. Then for unknown reasons, the vehicle overturned on the rough ground, causing the 28-year-old passenger to be ejected.

Officials said the passenger, a Rough and Ready resident, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The fatality’s identity remained unknown at this time pending next of kin notification.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was provided on the condition of Cobb.
Initial investigation revealed both Cobb and his passenger were not wearing safety helmets when the accident occurred.
