Bicyclist Injured in Grass Valley Hit-and-Run on Rough and Ready Highway
GRASS VALLEY (May 22, 2020) – A bicyclist was injured after an alleged hit-and-run collision along Rough and Ready Highway on Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, officers received a call about the accident on May 21 shortly after 4 p.m.
The report log indicated a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown on Rough and Ready Highway near West Drive and East Drive.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the cyclist in the roadway and suffering from unspecified injuries following the crash.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the victim, whose name and condition at this time were not released. CHP did not mention if the patient was hospitalized for further aid.
Meanwhile, the driver involved did not stop after hitting the bicyclist and then took off. Officers described the car as a green Honda coupe after it left its license plate at the site.
Authorities are still gathering more information and evidence to locate the motorist. They identified the suspect as a Hispanic man with long curly hair.
