Officer Douglas Flown to Hospital with Minor to Moderate Injuries
GRASS VALLEY, California (May 3, 2016) – California Highway Patrol Officer Reaves Douglas was airlifted after a traffic collision on Highway 49 Monday afternoon, according to CBS Sacramento. (map)
In an article by The Sacramento Bee, CHP said about 2:30 p.m. the patrol vehicle Grass Valley Officer Douglas was driving was struck from behind on Highway 49 at La Barr Meadows Road.
Officer Douglas was flown to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he underwent evaluation and treatment for minor to moderate injuries.
As per The Sacramento Bee, the other driver involved was injured. The unidentified motorist was evaluated and then arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of controlled substances.
